Library Rules for Behavior
Welcome to the Library
The Board of Trustees is committed to maintaining a safe environment for employees and the public. In order to do so we ask your cooperation in observing the following rules:
- Destruction or unlawful removal of library materials or property is prohibited.
- Persons under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs are not permitted in the library.
- Soliciting and sales are prohibited.
- Persons using profane or threatening language will be asked to leave.
- Persons who pose a health or sanitary risk will be asked to leave.
- Children under the age of 8 must be supervised at all times.
- The library reserves the right to expel any person whose behavior is judged to be disruptive, inappropriate to the library environment or who poses a threat to the safety of himself/herself or others.
- The following are not permitted in the library:
- Loud or boisterous talk and conversation
- Eating or drinking
- Use of tobacco products or electronic substitutes
- Violent or threatening behavior
- Weapons**Unless otherwise authorized by law, pursuant to the Ohio Revised Code, no person shall knowingly possess, have under the person’s control, convey, or attempt to convey a deadly weapon or dangerous ordnance onto these premises.
Patrons in violation of any of the above will be asked to leave. If there is any problem, please tell a staff member immediately.
